Natuurlijke aanpak (2)
Toen we zaten na te babbelen in Blackpool, tegenover de Wintergarden, waar “the Show of the year” (Engelse duivenbeurs) gehouden werd, kwam naar voren dat het opgevallen was dat de Engelse liefhebbers vooral geïnteresseerd waren in medicijnen. Het verhaal over een meer natuurlijke aanpak leek aan dovenmansoren gericht.
Ik realiseerde me dat er aan deze kant van het kanaal, wat dit betreft, al meer open gestaan wordt voor de andere kijk op de medische begeleiding van de duivensport.
Het zou natuurlijk ook best kunnen dat men alleen maar verbaasd was een dierenarts te horen zeggen dat er minder medicijnen gebruikt zouden moeten worden.
Steevast vertelden de Engelsen dat duiven alleen maar gezond waren te houden met behulp van medicijnen. Eigenlijk is dat het denkbeeld dat jaren geleden ook in Nederland, België en Duitsland algemeen geldend was.
We hebben het over gezond houden met behulp van medicijnen. Maar dat is in mijn ogen een misvatting. Het moet zo zijn dat we de duiven gezond houden met behulp van een verhoging van de basisweerstand. Als de duiven desondanks ziek worden kunnen we de ziekte helpen bestrijden met medicijnen.
De medicijnen zorgen dan dat de duiven minder ziek worden en daardoor is het mogelijk dat de duiven aan hun gezondheid kunnen gaan werken.
Gezondheid en ziekte liggen in die gedachtegang als het ware in elkaars verlengde.
Je zou een en ander kunnen uitbeelden als een lijn waarop de gezondheid als positief wordt afgebeeld. Daarbij zou men aan het ene uiteinde duiven kunnen plaatsen die in topvorm zijn en die blaken van gezondheid.
Als de mate van gezondheid dan afneemt komen we langzaam in de gevarenzone waarbij de gevoeligheid voor ziekte meer en meer toeneemt.
Aan het einde van de ziekte staat dan sterfte. Aan de top van de gezondheid staat de duif in topvorm.
Bij het gros van de liefhebbers, zo heb ik de afgelopen jaren moeten constateren bevinden de duiven zich in de middenzone. Dus een mengelmoes van gezonde en zieke duiven, met daarin een variatie in de mate van ziekte en gezondheid.
De misvatting die nog steeds veel liefhebbers hebben is de veronderstelling dat de “goede” spelers een of ander geheim medisch middel hebben om de duiven in de groep van de gezonde duiven te houden. Je zou haast vermoeden dat die veronderstelling kunstmatig in leven wordt gehouden om de zaak af te leiden van waar het werkelijk om gaat.
Zoals ik al vaker heb gesteld, hebben deze topliefhebbers het juiste inzicht om de duiven optimaal gezond te houden. Daardoor juist zijn deze duiven minder gevoelig voor bedreigende ziektes.
Het is dus precies anders om. Deze liefhebbers investeren in gezondheid en niet in de bestrijding van ziektes. Want als de ziektes bestreden zijn, is er nog niet automatisch een optimale gezondheid.
Het zou een algemeen aanvaard uitgangspunt moeten zijn dat de gezondheid gestimuleerd dient te worden, waardoor er uiteindelijk minder ziektes bestreden zouden moeten worden.
En juist om de gezondheid te stimuleren is een goede natuurlijke aanpak een basisvereiste.
Als we teruggaan in de tijd naar de periode voor het geneesmiddelen gebruik in de duivensport, dan komen we in een periode terecht waarin de duiven enerzijds kwalitatief doorgaans minder waren ten opzichte van heden ten dage , maar ook minder gevoelig waren voor ziekten.
We moeten wel zo eerlijk zijn toe te geven dat de medicijnen het mogelijk maakten om duiven met goede genetische vliegeigenschappen in leven te houden en hieruit te kweken. Iets wat zonder de medicatie waarschijnlijk veel moeizamer was verlopen. De duivensport als geheel heeft hiervan de vluchten kunnen plukken.
Maar we zijn daarin doorgeschoten. We zijn de medicijnen gaan gebruiken om allerlei ongemakjes die duiven konden hebben weg te poetsen. We hebben daarmee een belangrijk natuurlijk mechanisme te kort gedaan. Namelijk het mechanisme van de selectie van de sterkste.
Voeg hierbij de verschraling van de voeding die mens en dier de afgelopen 30-40 jaar ten deel is gevallen. De gehaltes aan waardevolle voedingsstoffen in de normale voeding, zo is uit diverse onderzoeken gebleken, is de laatste tientallen jaren gestaag teruggelopen. De opmerking van de gezondheidsraad dat gevarieerde voeding genoeg is om voldoende vitamines en spoorelementen binnen te krijgen, is, naar mijn inzicht, niet echt meer van deze tijd. Tenminste niet als we ervan uit willen gaan dat we topsport willen bedrijven.
Gesteld mag worden dat ook de kwaliteit van de voeding van de duiven, zeer waarschijnlijk, destijds beter was. En met beter bedoel ik dan dat de vergaande verschraling van de landbouwproducten nog niet zo sterk haar intrede had gedaan. Duiven kregen per voeding meer goede bouwstoffen binnen. Bouwstoffen die ook nodig waren om gezond te kunnen blijven. Ook om de stress bij de wedvluchten aan te kunnen.
Meer duiven op een hok en daardoor een stijging van de infectiedruk, milieuvervuiling en zwaarte van de wedvluchten speelden verder hun deuntje mee. Duivensport was daarnaast ook nog eens topsport aan het worden.
Dit proces van ombouw naar topsport is geleidelijk aan verlopen.
In het begin waren degene die met medicatie de kinderziektes wisten uit te bannen spekkopers. Immers ze wonnen de meeste wedstrijden. Maar toen de grote meute dit ook begon te doen was dit voordeel verdwenen. Wel was toen de gewoonte massaal medicijnen in te zetten geboren.
Met dit medicijngebruik werden allerlei kwaaltjes naar de achtergrond verdrongen. Ook kwaaltjes waarop van oudsher geselecteerd werd. En zonder het beseffen maakten we ons allemaal afhankelijk van die medicijnen……behalve degene die dit door hadden en tijdig de paaltjes begonnen te verzetten. Zij die enerzijds het gebruik van medicatie trachtten te verminderen en anderzijds tegelijkertijd investeerden in gezondheid kwamen meer en meer bovendrijven.
Door minder medicijnen te gebruiken en gelijktijdig te investeren in gezondheid werd het mogelijk goed door te selecteren. De zwakke broeders werden tijdig verwijderd. Nog voor dat ze in staat waren ziektes te gaan spreiden onder de rest van het hok waardoor weer medicatie gebruikt moest worden.
Het meeste wat hier in deze nieuwsbrief staat weet iedereen wel. Het zijn open deuren. Maar het blijft me verbazen dat het gros van de liefhebbers dan toch blijft vasthouden aan het investeren in bestrijding van ziektes in plaats van in het optimaliseren van de gezondheid.
Als liefhebber is het veel verstandiger om de basisweerstand van de duiven te optimaliseren waardoor de duiven zelf beter in staat worden gesteld om ziekten te bestrijden en vorm op te bouwen, dan af te wachten tot het fout gaat of preventief medicijnen te gaan geven via blinde kuren voor het geval dat….
Ik wil erop blijven hameren dat goed voer voor een goede basisweerstand uiterst belangrijk is. Beter minder duiven houden die goed gevoerd worden, dan meer duiven die het met armer voer moeten doen (duivensport is topsport weet u nog!). Er zijn enkele firma’s die de waarde van extra omega 3 in het duivenvoer wel degelijk onderkennen en het derhalve aan hun voeders toevoegen. Let daar eens op. Het voer kan misschien iets duurder zijn, maar dat betaalt zich terug in de kwaliteit van de (jonge) duiven.
Er zijn diverse firma’s die producten op de markt brengen om de basisweerstand te helpen verhogen. Zoals bekend hebben wij zelf een lijn in die richting ontwikkeld de afgelopen 25 jaar die door veel liefhebbers tot volle tevredenheid wordt gebruikt. Naar aanleiding van de vragen wat men uit onze lijn dan het beste kan gebruiken, hebben we recentelijk een startpakket samengesteld.
Maar kijk gerust rond er zijn meerdere wegen die naar Rome leiden. Als de boodschap maar duidelijk is: Tracht de noodzaak om medicijnen te moeten gebruiken te verminderen door uw topsporters het instrumentarium mee te geven waardoor ze in een goede gezondheid en goed conditie kunnen komen.
Tracht dus de gezondheid te verhogen.
Maar wees aan de andere kant niet kortzichtig. Zorg dat U ruim voor de eerste vluchten uw duiven bij uw duivenarts laat controleren. Zorg dat ze dan vrij zijn van coccidiose, trichomoniasis, luizen en wormen, maar bovenal van luchtweginfecties. Laat de duiven ook controleren op de aanwezigheid van slijm. En geef op dat strategische moment, als het nodig is, een goede kuur voor de luchtwegen of andere ziekten zodat de infectiedruk in de korven over de breedte omlaag gaat en niet weer tijdens het seizoen te pas en te onpas moet worden gekuurd. Zorg er teven voor dat als U moet kuren, U kuurt met het juiste middel, in de juiste dosering en vooral voldoende lang.
Productinformatie
De nieuwsbrieven worden op meerdere locaties geplaatst. Op de een of andere manier heeft dat ertoe geleid dat ik de beschrijvingen van producten of het noemen van productnamen verminder.
Wellicht komt dat doordat er een liefhebber was die me schreef dat de nieuwsbrief op een promotie van mijn eigen producten leek. Ik dacht toen even...is het zo erg?
Op de een of andere manier trek je je zulke kritiek aan. Maar inmiddels zijner een veelvoud van liefhebbers die me vragen of er nieuwe producten uitkomen, of dat ik een bepaald product nader wil beschrijven.
Al met al kun je zeggen dat je het nooit goed kunt doen voor iedereen.
Ik heb daarom besloten om aan de nieuwsbrief die ik zelf verstuur een item productinfo toe te voegen zodra er iets nieuws verschijnt.
Deze maand kreeg ik herhaaldelijk de vraag of er nog nieuwe produkten op de markt kwamen.
Wel er zijn de laatste maanden twee nieuwe producten bijgekomen. Het inmiddels al bekende : Bony-Basiskern.
bony Basiskern is een mengsel van kruiden die een bijdrage leveren aan de gezondheid van de duiven op basis van zeealgenmeel, spporelementen en vitamines. Kruiden die er in zitten zijn onder andere oregano, knoflook, rode zonnehoed, spirulina enz.
Maar regelmatig verstrekt worden. Verkrijgbaar in potten van 500 en van 1000 gram.
Een ander recent product is de Bony-power glutavit. Een mengsel van weieiwit met als extra het aminozuur glutamine dat belangrijk is voor een goede darmcelwerking, maar dat bovenal een aminozuur is voor de spieren. Dus zeer geschikt om te geven na de vlucht. Uitgebalanceerd met vitamines en spoorelementen. Het kan ook voor de vlucht worden gegeven.

Verder komen de komende tijd enkele nieuwe producten op de markt waaronder enige producten op basis van actief ijzer.

It was their first success. Due to the purchase of the Speedy in the age of 9 years from Mr. Kober, this loft combine got a tremendous breeding performance. Within the german regional alliance 409 they got lots of 2 digit placements.

GESPEENDE JONGEN
Gespeende jongen
Beste liefhebber,
Vele jonge duifjes zijn al gespeend en dan krijgen we nogal dikwijls de vraag wat er nu verder het best aan deze jonge dieren kan gevoederd worden.
Die jongen
Zijn nog volop in de "groei" en daar komt straks ook nog de dekrui bij. Om dat tot een goed einde te brengen zijn voldoende bouwstoffen nodig. Die bouwstoffen zijn eiwitten. Van belang hierbij is niet het ruwe eiwitgehalte. Daar hebben de dieren niets aan. Belangrijk is het benutbare eiwitgehalte, het deel eiwit waar het lichaam dus wat mee kan. Dergelijk hoog benutbaar eiwitgehalte kan je terugvinden in onder andere onze Premium Kweek Olympiade.
Een goed systeem
Is de jongen daarvan volle bak te geven, evenwel met dien verstande dat alles dient opgegeten alvorens we vers voer toedienen. Een optie is om gedurende de rui van de dekpluimpjes de jongen in een zelfde systeem van Premium Rui te voorzien. Een andere mogelijkheid is gedurende die rui een klein gedeelte Turbo Energy aan de kweekmengeling toe te voegen. Dat en op regelmatige basis een dagje het lichaamseigen probioticacomplex TS6-Plus zorgt gegarandeerd voor mooi uitgroeiende gezonde jongen en een perfecte rui van de kleine veertjes!
Voor onze vliegduiven
Waarvan we jongen kweekten is het zaak ze rustig te houden en het organisme degelijk te ontslakken alvorens aan het vliegseizoen te beginnen.
Dat kan perfect met onze Premium Rustmengeling. Deze gevarieerde rustmengeling is te verkiezen boven de klassieke gerstkuur. De voedingswaarde van alleen maar gerst is te eenzijdig waardoor het hongergevoel de duiven meer zal doen eten en waardoor ze ondanks de "gerstkuur" toch zeer makkelijk zullen aanvetten. Te zware duiven kunnen we ten allen tijde missen, en al zeker als we er prestaties van verwachten!
Een thee kuurtje
Van een zevental dagen met Flûssig tee heeft een reinigende werking, zal de conditie onderhouden en zorgen voor een perfecte donsrui. Ondersteunend hierin kunnen we netelpoeder of Meistermix met een klein beetje Omega Plus olie aan het voer laten kleven. Het zorgt tegelijkertijd voor een nog optimalere omega 3- verhouding van ons voer!

VERANDERING OP KOMST VOOR ZAANSE DUIVENLIEFHEBBERS
Verandering op komst voor Zaanse duivenliefhebbers
WESTZAAN - Het duivensport seizoen 2010 voor de rayon C leden van afdeling 6 in Noord-Holland zal zaterdag 3 april van start gaan met de oefenvlucht vanaf Zevenbergschenhoek waarvoor vrijdag 2 april moet worden ingekorfd.
Sinds 60 jaar is er een behoorlijke verandering voor de duivenliefhebbers in deze regio gekomen zo zal het aantal oefenvluchten nog gering zijn in het komend seizoen vooral door het verlies tijdens deze vluchten een juiste beslissing, tevens een prima besluit om op drie na alle vluchten van de zes afdelingen van Noord Holland gelijk te lossen, zodat in het belang voor de duivensport ketting uitslagen zoveel mogelijk worden voorkomen om het voor een ieder aantrekkelijker te maken, en de duiven zich meer gaan verspreiden op vooral de korte afstanden.
Voor de programma liefhebbers voor de punten in verschillende categorie's gaan de vluchten alsvolgt van start. Vitesse vluchten 10 April, Midfond vluchten 8 Mei, Dagfond vluchten 15 Mei, Overnacht vluchten 4 Juni, Jonge duiven vluchten 3 Juli, Navluchten 21 Augustus.

The best pigeon racer of all times is not with us anymore. Jos van Limpt, also known as De Klak, from Reusel, the Netherlands, passed away on 3 March 2004, at a blessed age of 81. Our sport lost a legend, a man who made the Dutch short-distance pigeons what they are today. De Klak is one of the most famous pigoen racers and his name has gained almost magical connotation. The champion from Reusel has added an enormous breeding value to his homogenous Janssen strain, which has made an impact of his own already for years. Many have bought pigeons from the Janssens brothers in Arendonk, but no one has managed to reach such superior results like De Klak. Klak’s pigeons are wanted in all pigeonloving countries around the world, where his pigeons fly truly in a champions’ style. For half a century was De Klak one of the greatest champions. A unique record than can never be beaten. He was lead by his intuition, his senses and his ambition to own the best pigeons. NIEUWSBRIEF DUIVEN-FORUM
Beste leden,
Bij deze willen wij op in het kort op de hoogte stellen van enkele
gebeurtenissen rond het forum.
Het komende seizoen kunt u op het forum de weersvoorspellingen vinden van
ZIMOA. Deze kloppen in het algemeen 99,9% van de tijd correct. U weet nu
dus waar u aan toe bent het komende weekend.
Ook zullen er geregeld nieuwe collumns van Gert Jan Beute te vinden zijn.
Gert Jan kenmerkt zich door zijn heldere kijk op de hedendaagse duivensport
en geeft hier uitleg over. Dit alles in taal die voor iedereen goed te
bevatten is. Hierbij komen alle aspecten aan het licht van het hok tot de
bouw van de duif en de hiermee verbandhoudende afstandsgeschiktheid.
Daarnaast is het forum een samenwerking aangegaan met SMSduif. Deze dienst
maakt onze mooie sport weer een stuk gezinsvriendelijker. Niet meer de
gehele dag voor de televisie wachten tot het lossingsbericht, maar gewoon
doen waar u zin in heeft. Is uw vlucht gelost dan ontvangt u automatisch
een sms van SMSduif met daarin de lostijd. U kunt nu dus makkelijk naar de
belangrijke sportwedstrijd van uw kind of met uw vrouw even de stad door
zonder dat u zich zorgen hoeft te maken over wanneer uw duiven kunnen
vallen. SMSduif zorgt ervoor dat u helemaal op de hoogte bent van de
lossing.
In de volgende nieuwsbrief kunt u lezen welke voordelen SMSduif zal gaan
bieden voor nieuwe leden van SMSduif. Deze nieuwsbrief zal volgende week
hieraan gewijd worden.
Proffsport
Inschrijvingen 15e Voorjaarsbeurs 6 & 7 maart lopen voorspoedig!
Het is alweer 15 jaar geleden dat Pieter Kos voor het eerst de
Voorjaarsbeurs organiseerde. Toen nog in de Brabanthallen in Den Bosch.
Inmiddels vindt het evenement al 10 jaar plaats in Houten! Ook het complex
heeft inmiddels een face lift ondergaan en heet tegenwoordig Expo Houten.
De beurs heeft inmiddels internationale faam verworven en de bezoekers
zullen ook dit jaar weer vanuit heel Europa op 6 & 7 maart afreizen naar
Houten.
Ruim 8.000 m² duiven en duivensport
U zult als bezoeker uw ogen nog uitkijken, want Expo Houten is een
schitterend complex. De mooie entree en standaard tapijt in alle hallen
geeft het evenement direct een warme sfeer. Het totale oppervlak (ca. 8.500
m²) dus alle hallen zullen ook dit jaar weer tot aan de nok toe gevuld zijn
met exposanten. Verleden jaar reeds werden er nog extra standplaatsen
gecreëerd door een vierde hal erbij te huren om aan de grote vraag te
kunnen voldoen!
Circa 4.000 tot 6.000 jonge duiven
Dat de Voorjaarsbeurs een internationaal karakter heeft is reeds bekend,
maar dat er nu meer en meer exposanten uit andere landen (jonge)duiven
aanbieden is een nieuwe ontwikkeling. Uit alle windstreken van Nederland en
België en (sinds dit jaar ook meer en meer) uit Duitsland zijn er
liefhebbers die duiven ter verkoop aanbieden! Er zijn met name veel
duivenstands verhuurd aan kleine, goed spelende liefhebbers. In Houten zult
u zelf provinciale en landelijke toppers jonge duiven zien verkopen, van de
vitesse tot de zware fond! Ook bieden velen van hen enkele oude duiven ter
verkoop aan. De verkopers van de jonge duiven hebben door de jaren heen
toch het gezicht van de Voorjaarsbeurs bepaald. Dat is waar de meeste
bezoekers op afkomen. Misschien niet eens om te kopen, maar alleen al voor
de sfeer! Duiven in de hand nemen, een praatje over de sport, het hoort er
allemaal bij…
Nog enkele plaatsjes beschikbaar
Heeft u in de eerste weken van januari gekoppeld? En de duiven broeden nu
enige tijd? Dan heeft u de jongen precies op tijd verkoop klaar. Er zijn
nog een beperkt aantal plaatsen beschikbaar dus wees er snel bij als u
plannen had een ronde jongen te verkopen!
Routebeschrijving en openingstijden
Het Euretco Expocenter is te vinden langs de snelweg A27 Breda-Utrecht. Het
complex is heel gemakkelijk te vinden en parkeren is gratis! Op de A27
vindt u (5 km zuidelijk van Utrecht) afslagnr: 29 Houten. Als u GPS in de
auto heeft, hierbij de juiste gegevens: Meidoornkade 24 – 3992 AE – Houten.
De Voorjaarsbeurs is op zaterdag geopend van 9.00 – 17.00 uur en zondag van
9.00 – 16.00 uur, de entree kost € 10,00 per persoon, kinderen tot 12 jaar
gratis toegang!

Het komende seizoen kunt u op het forum de weersvoorspellingen vinden van
ZIMOA. Deze kloppen in het algemeen 99,9% van de tijd correct. U weet nu
dus waar u aan toe bent het komende weekend.
Ook zullen er geregeld nieuwe collumns van Gert Jan Beute te vinden zijn.
Gert Jan kenmerkt zich door zijn heldere kijk op de hedendaagse duivensport
en geeft hier uitleg over. Dit alles in taal die voor iedereen goed te
bevatten is. Hierbij komen alle aspecten aan het licht van het hok tot de
bouw van de duif en de hiermee verbandhoudende afstandsgeschiktheid.
Daarnaast is het forum een samenwerking aangegaan met SMSduif. Deze dienst
maakt onze mooie sport weer een stuk gezinsvriendelijker. Niet meer de
gehele dag voor de televisie wachten tot het lossingsbericht, maar gewoon
doen waar u zin in heeft. Is uw vlucht gelost dan ontvangt u automatisch
een sms van SMSduif met daarin de lostijd. U kunt nu dus makkelijk naar de
belangrijke sportwedstrijd van uw kind of met uw vrouw even de stad door
zonder dat u zich zorgen hoeft te maken over wanneer uw duiven kunnen
vallen. SMSduif zorgt ervoor dat u helemaal op de hoogte bent van de
lossing.
In de volgende nieuwsbrief kunt u lezen welke voordelen SMSduif zal gaan
bieden voor nieuwe leden van SMSduif. Deze nieuwsbrief zal volgende week
hieraan gewijd worden.

Inschrijvingen 15e Voorjaarsbeurs 6 & 7 maart lopen voorspoedig!
Het is alweer 15 jaar geleden dat Pieter Kos voor het eerst de
Voorjaarsbeurs organiseerde. Toen nog in de Brabanthallen in Den Bosch.
Inmiddels vindt het evenement al 10 jaar plaats in Houten! Ook het complex
heeft inmiddels een face lift ondergaan en heet tegenwoordig Expo Houten.
De beurs heeft inmiddels internationale faam verworven en de bezoekers
zullen ook dit jaar weer vanuit heel Europa op 6 & 7 maart afreizen naar
Houten.
Ruim 8.000 m² duiven en duivensport
U zult als bezoeker uw ogen nog uitkijken, want Expo Houten is een
schitterend complex. De mooie entree en standaard tapijt in alle hallen
geeft het evenement direct een warme sfeer. Het totale oppervlak (ca. 8.500
m²) dus alle hallen zullen ook dit jaar weer tot aan de nok toe gevuld zijn
met exposanten. Verleden jaar reeds werden er nog extra standplaatsen
gecreëerd door een vierde hal erbij te huren om aan de grote vraag te
kunnen voldoen!
Circa 4.000 tot 6.000 jonge duiven
Dat de Voorjaarsbeurs een internationaal karakter heeft is reeds bekend,
maar dat er nu meer en meer exposanten uit andere landen (jonge)duiven
aanbieden is een nieuwe ontwikkeling. Uit alle windstreken van Nederland en
België en (sinds dit jaar ook meer en meer) uit Duitsland zijn er
liefhebbers die duiven ter verkoop aanbieden! Er zijn met name veel
duivenstands verhuurd aan kleine, goed spelende liefhebbers. In Houten zult
u zelf provinciale en landelijke toppers jonge duiven zien verkopen, van de
vitesse tot de zware fond! Ook bieden velen van hen enkele oude duiven ter
verkoop aan. De verkopers van de jonge duiven hebben door de jaren heen
toch het gezicht van de Voorjaarsbeurs bepaald. Dat is waar de meeste
bezoekers op afkomen. Misschien niet eens om te kopen, maar alleen al voor
de sfeer! Duiven in de hand nemen, een praatje over de sport, het hoort er
allemaal bij…
Nog enkele plaatsjes beschikbaar
Heeft u in de eerste weken van januari gekoppeld? En de duiven broeden nu
enige tijd? Dan heeft u de jongen precies op tijd verkoop klaar. Er zijn
nog een beperkt aantal plaatsen beschikbaar dus wees er snel bij als u
plannen had een ronde jongen te verkopen!
Routebeschrijving en openingstijden
Het Euretco Expocenter is te vinden langs de snelweg A27 Breda-Utrecht. Het
complex is heel gemakkelijk te vinden en parkeren is gratis! Op de A27
vindt u (5 km zuidelijk van Utrecht) afslagnr: 29 Houten. Als u GPS in de
auto heeft, hierbij de juiste gegevens: Meidoornkade 24 – 3992 AE – Houten.
De Voorjaarsbeurs is op zaterdag geopend van 9.00 – 17.00 uur en zondag van
9.00 – 16.00 uur, de entree kost € 10,00 per persoon, kinderen tot 12 jaar
gratis toegang!

We know some, those local fanciers which race phenomenal but don’t get the attention they deserve. This time I would like to introduce Combination Duijvestijn – Piepke from Den Haag. This tandem is formed by ex cucumber grower Nico Duijvestijn and government worker Mirek Piepke. They build their strain with the very best of Jan de Raaf and a few pigeons from Henk Scholtes and Peet Kester. The formed a strain with an own identity and able to win races under all circumstances in races from 100 to 700 kilometer. Om er voor te zorgen dat Uw UNIKON-systeem ook dit seizoen zonder problemen functioneert, is het belangrijk dat de batterijen in de combiklok en module voldoende “power” hebben.
Daarom nog een keer de nummers van de systemen die 5 jaar of ouder zijn.
Combiklokken:de nummers lager als 35.100
Opslagmodulen profi:de nummers lager als 28.000
Opslagmodulen medium:de nummers lager als 4.000
Ga naar www.unikon.be naar de rubriek “batterijen vervangen/onderhoud” waar U de benodigde formulieren uit kunt printen.
Natuurlijk blijft er de mogelijkheid om Uw “oude” UNIKON in te ruilen voor een NIEUWE CHAMP+.
Om te zien wat deze nieuwe “UNIKON” allemaal kan, ga dan naar de rubriek

Are you all sleeping behind the computer? You all think he is too old? Or do we ask to many for it…??? One thing is for sure, he is 100% fertile, in perfect condition and ready to breed. A great day for us, today my good friend Alexandru Moldovan from Romania will visit us. Alex takes care of the shipments to Romania and Hungary every week. He is a great help for us. He makes it possible to sell as much birds as we do now in these countries. Together with our partner in Romania mister Daniel van Pop he does a great job… Normally we deliver the birds in Aalsmeer where Alex is loading flowers to take for Romania, but this time Alex comes to visit us. This way we would like to thank Alex and Daniel for the great job….

Tomorrow there is the last Jewels Of the Sky Auction of this 2009-2010 edition. In this auction pigeons of a.o. G&S Verkerk, Alwin Petrie, Hans Eijerkamp & Sons, Casaert M&G, Casaert-Senechal, Declerck-Blancke and also Freddy & Jacques Vandenheede.

Today I would like to spend a few words on two birds we added yesterday. Two proven racers, Ace pigeons with a lot of prizes including a few firsts. It’s been a while since I saw pigeons with this quality. Its make me think about the words my father said when I was a little boy and made my first steps in the loft. It’s already 25 years ago that he told me that pigeon sport is a forever search for better pigeons and that good pigeons is what you need to start with. Now 25 years later I handled thousands of them and believe me, the two birds I am speaking about now “De Boeing” & “Skybreaker” bred by Danny de Voogd are the kind of birds you are looking for!!! For those who ever believed we know something about pigeons, give this birds a good thought!!!

Onze maatschappij nodigt U en Uw vrienden uit op onze kampioenenparade. Wij hebben tijd nog moeite gespaard om van deze voormiddag terug iets heel speciaal te brengen. Enkele van de grootste kampioenen in onze sport komen naar de Velle. Zij zullen elk vier van hun kampioenenduiven tentoon stellen en tevens deelnemen aan een panelgesprek. Echt de moeite om met deze kampioenen kennis te maken en tevens hebt U de mogelijkheid om een jonge duif of bon 2010 aan te schaffen.
Programma : “ Onder de Belgische vlag “
10u: aanvang en verwelkoming dus graag zoveel mogelijk aanwezig te zijn.
10u30: panelgesprek met als moderator Bafort Luc en de volgende liefhebbers:
1 DE WITTE MATHIAS Belsele: in 2008 provinciaal
Kampioen ½ fond jonge en gouden ring winnaar en in
2009 terug een stap hoger Nationaal kampioen ½ fond
Jonge duiven. Geen enkel had ze beter in 2009 !!
2 GEERTS PETRUS Kruibeke: aal jaren het monument
van het Waasland en Oost Vlaanderen en dit op de
snelheidsvluchten. Gaf in 2009 een ware demonstratie
en dit vooral met de jonge duiven op Quievrain. Nog
nooit gebeurd:goud zilver en bronzen ring GRW
3 MEIRLAEN ETIENNE St Martens Latem: de allerbeste
van het land op de zware fond; In 2008 1° & 3° asduif
van Belgie op de zware fond. In 2009 terug 1° asduif
narionaal op de zware fond. Niemand deed hem dit voor.
4 SUYKENS NANCY Hingene : na jaren geweldig sterk
Spel op de snelheid heeft deze sympathieke dame in
2009 de stap gezet naar de ½ fond en dit met groot
succes. Wij zijn blij dat deze vrouw lid is geworden van
onze maatschappij. Veel mannen kunnen nog veel leren
van de wijze hoe zij het aanpakt.
5 JEF VAN WINCKEL Tielt Wingene : één van de
absolute toppers van het land. Zijn terrein is de zware
halve fond. Al jaren aan een stuk bij de absolute
uitblinkers. Veel kijken er nu al naar uit welke kennis hij
ons op 21 februari zal bijbrengen.
6 WILSON DEKENS Zingem : de kolonie die begon op
de snelheid en daarna op de ½ fond en nu één van de
tenoren van Belgie op de fond; De topper van het lokaal
Union et Liberté te Gent;
7 VAN LANDEGHEM GEBROEDERS Kruibeke : de
Superkolonie van de streek en het Waasland. Geweldig
op de vitesse en ½ fond en nu top op de fond. In 2008 de
schrik op de ½ fond van het waasland en in 2009 nog
straffer: provinciaal winnaars op Bourges en Nationaal
op La Souterraine. Tal van topklasseringen en diverse
kampioenschappen met o.a. Bingo winnaar op de
marathon GRW.
11u: grote bonverkoop van bons van de bovenvermelde kampioenen
& onderstaande kampioenen: Nicque Jozef, Haasdonk / Vlaeminck Hugo, Rupelmonde / Bafort Luc,Temse / Roggeman C & D, Temse /

Met alleen morgen de vrijdag nog voor de boeg er is alweer een week voorbij met winterweer. Niet slecht voor de duiven. Als straks de dooi komt wordt het weer veel vochtiger en op veel hokken zal dat een ongunstig effect op de duiven hebben. Maar goed, zo is het weer hier nu eenmaal.

We are in the pigeon business for over 10 years now. One of the most common questions we receive is “I am looking for really good pigeons, can you help me?” For all these fanciers we do the very best we can… Many times we succeed to fulfill their wishes… What I really don’t understand is that some really good pigeons are listed at our website for a while without any success. For example NL.03-2032320 “Red Sensation” Bred and raced by A.T.W. Straub, Zevenaar. A true racing sensation… This fantastic to handle cock won nothing less than 39 prizes including a 1st!!! He raced 8 times within the first 10 in the club!!! He won 1st Peronne against 110 pigeons, 2nd Strombeek against 308 pigeons, 2nd Morlincourt against 128 pigeons, 5th Morlincourt against 171 pigeons, 7th Epehy against 127 pigeons, 7th Strombeek against 283 pigeons, 7th Chantilly against 142 pigeons, 8th Menen against 117 pigeons and more… In his veins the royal blood of the Janssen bros and Verbart… He is listed since December 1 – 2009 and still we did not find a buyer… Are you all sleeping behind the computer? You all think he is too old? Or do we ask to many for it…??? One thing is for sure, he is 100% fertile, in perfect condition and ready to breed.
